The ideal candidate is a precision-oriented, self-starting leader motivated by continuous improvement, process optimization, and creative problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities Engineering & Automation:
Design, troubleshoot, develop, and automate manufacturing processes to solve complex engineering challenges.
CAD & Tooling Design:
Create part models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks; oversee tooling design and manufacturing.
Product Launch & Improvement:
Manage product launches and drive continuous manufacturing process improvements.
Quoting & Vendor Management:
Read customer blueprints and specifications, provide accurate part quotations, and request vendor quotes for materials and outside processes.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Technical Skills:
Experience with 3D modeling/CAD software (SolidWorks preferred), ability to read/interpret engineering blueprints, and strong design skills.
Core Competencies:
Efficient problem-solving, estimating/quoting experience, and clear team communication.
Preferred Experience Manufacturing Knowledge:
Hands-on experience with precision metal fasteners, machining, and material behavior (carbon/stainless steel).
Quality & Measurement:
Proficiency with measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, comparators), familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), and quality documentation.
Advanced Design & Methodology:
Experience or interest in Die Design, alongside a background in Lean Manufacturing principles.
