machine maintenance High voltage Full Job Description Is this you? Do you thrive on cracking tough faults in multi‑axis Milling Centers? Can you read a complex schematic, trace ladder logic, and zero in on a failed drive or encoder fast? Are you comfortable commissioning new machines on Monday and integrating automation on Tuesday? What you'll do Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on CNC equipment and restore performance quickly. Execute scheduled
PMs:
lube systems, alignments, sensor calibration, and accuracy checks. Install, level, align, and commission new CNC machines and related automation. Validate precision using laser interferometer and ballbar testing; verify results with precision metrology. Document repairs, parts consumed, and machine downtime in our ERP. Must‑haves Minimum 5 years in CNC service or field service, independently handling complex onsite calls. Advanced command of Siemens or Fidia CNC controls and comfort with PLC ladder logic. Demonstrated autonomy in geometry alignment and machine leveling at customer locations. Electrical depth and safety AC/DC drive systems, servo motors, encoders, and power supplies: test, diagnose, and repair. Expert schematic and wiring diagram literacy; trace faults to root cause. Troubleshoot CNC control hardware (I/O boards, HMIs, comms) on Siemens/Fidia platforms. Use DMMs, oscilloscopes, and megohmmeters for continuity and insulation testing. Operate to
NFPA 70E
standards and strict LOTO procedures. Integrate CNC with bar feeders, robotic loaders, rotary tables, and other peripherals. Nice to have Experience on large 5‑axis systems (gantry or moving table). Familiarity with Linear Motor, Torq Motor, and Rack & Pinion motion designs. Strong customer service instincts and clear communication. Travel requirements Frequent overnight travel for installations and complex service events. Short‑notice dispatches, occasional weekends, and overtime as customer needs dictate. Valid driver's license with a clean record is required. High travel load (about 75%-100%), with regional, national, and potentially international trips. Tools and platforms
