Job Summary To Apply for this Job Click Here Role Overview The Project Engineer leads technical project execution for automotive damping, sealing, and reinforcing technologies. This role blends applications engineering, materials expertise, and cross-functional project leadership to deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective solutions. You will guide projects from early development through launch, ensuring technical accuracy, customer satisfaction, and on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities Lead project activities and assume full responsibility for technical execution from concept through post‑launch support. Apply applications engineering knowledge to recommend materials and manufacturing technologies that meet performance, cost, and customer requirements. Manage DFMEA and DVP&R activities throughout pre-production and launch phases. Oversee tooling budgets and ensure project cost targets are met. Collaborate directly with customer engineering teams and manufacturing sites to resolve issues and drive successful outcomes. Support quoting activities with Account Management, R D, and Marketing for new business opportunities. Manage project timelines from award through 90 days post‑launch. Review customer specifications, test requirements, and statements of work to ensure product conformance. Establish DVP&R plans, conduct design verification, and support customer on‑site validation activities. Ensure design reviews are completed and drawings are released according to internal procedures. Manage engineering changes from customer approval through implementation at the manufacturing plant. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent required. 1-3 years of experience in Application Engineering or Program Management, preferably within the automotive industry. Experience working with launching new parts or engineering changes Japanese language skills (speaking, reading technical documentation) highly preferred . Strong organizational, analytical, and quantitative skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work effectively with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams. Familiarity with plastic injection molding, tooling, and part design
