PROJECT ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY
TH Plastics, Inc., is a custom injection molder serving the appliance and automotive industries, is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual for the following position in our Mendon, Michigan Division.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Project Engineers combine project management skills with engineering knowledge to lead the technical team in the completion of a project. Scheduling, project controls, problem solving, vendor management, coordinating and managing the project team are just a few of the skills that may be required in this role. They also work closely with management to ensure projects are technically sound from an engineering perspective, completed safely, and delivered on time and on budget.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in a related field 5 years of experience in Project Engineering/Management in the automotive manufacturing industry Extensive experience in troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge of tooling for injection molding Excellent written and verbal communication skills Regular on site attendance
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(The following list does not include all duties and responsibilities) Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve and "on time" result including follow-up with internal/external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items Determines possibility of failure in our manufacturing process from customer drawing. Analyze process to learn likelihood of detection and resulting effect on customer product. Suggest preventative steps for correction Assist Process Engineer / Quality Manager in addressing defects, if any, found during the pre-launch stage Strong customer communication skills Prepare quotations utilizing supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing engineering and tool engineering Provide weekly updates to project manager Assist in BOM creation, detailed instructions for manufacturing process of new part and specification for packaging
