Pneumatic systems 2D CAD drafting Industrial equipment Quality systems Design of mechanical systems Full Job Description Who You Are In this role as a Design Engineer , you will be responsible for supporting the business execution requirements of the Automation Systems Group (ASG). You will be responsible for executing tasks pertaining to the design of mechanical hardware, including pneumatics and hydraulics, for industrial robot systems. We need an organized, customer-focused, problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams and has experience managing multiple tasks at the same time. How It's Done Design & detail mechanical hardware as required for multiple system projects (system layouts, cable-tray/wire-way routing, mechanical tooling, robot & mounted fixtures, tooling and accessories, and pneumatic/hydraulic devices & circuitry, etc.) Take attendance at project team meetings, customer meetings, and design reviews Support mechanical and electrical hardware integration, scheduling of multiple design tasks, redline drawing updates and mechanical drawing file control Create and/or receive 3D simulation data as part of the design line-up Work within hardware design/build project budgets Execute design tasks using AutoCAD and Onshape Work as part of an execution team Assume lead design engineer role on assigned projects Maintain and track personal workload What You Need Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or a related technical field Minimum five years of related design experience with mechanical and/or pneumatic design knowledge techniques Proven experience with CAD software and techniques including 2D AutoCAD and 3D Onshape Strong knowledge of robotic E.O.A.T., work-holding and other related equipment Knowledge of the industrial automation industry Exposure to ISO-9001 and related quality systems What Would Be Even Better 5+ years of experience and expertise in (mechanical) system engineering, design, and integration of robotic automation systems Experience with robot automation systems It's Up To You At FANUC America Corporation we are passionate about our customers, our employees, and the work we perform.
