Job Description

Qualifications:
Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate Appropriate endorsement aligned to Career & Technical Education, Industrial Technology, Engineering/Technology, or a related field (e.g., IX, TE, TX, or other relevant endorsement) preferred Experience or strong interest in teaching and inspiring middle school students Commitment to equitable instructional practices and inclusive learning environments
Responsibilities & Duties:
Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction aligned to the MEERA curriculum, including areas such as: Additive manufacturing (3D printing) Robotics and automation Basic electronics Manufacturing concepts and engineering design Create a safe, well-managed lab environment, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to support growth and engagement Foster a classroom culture aligned with Capturing Kids' Hearts practices, emphasizing relationships, belonging, and student empowerment
Terms of Employment:
Wayland Union EA position, CBA available at http://www.waylandunion.org Grant funded position, no guarantee of continued employment each school year. Contingent upon passing post-offer background checks
