Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours within a supportive educational environment near Wayland, MI, where you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of students from the first day through the last day of the school year.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Valid state licensure, or ability to obtain before start date Previous school-based SLP experience preferred, but strong clinical backgrounds welcome Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Commitment to collaboration with educational teams and family members
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team Provide targeted speech and language therapy tailored to students' unique needs Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and parent conferences Deliver direct and consultative services to promote student success in the classroom Stay current with best practices and compliance requirements within the school setting
