Job Description

Product design engineering role responsible for fluid control valve development, electro-hydraulic and pneumatic system design, calculations, CAD drawing support, DFMEA, DVP&R, DOE, testing analysis, and design validation. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 5 or more years of related experience Cam phasing design experience 3D design experience Experience with Creo or Siemens design software Experience designing fluid control valves for electro-hydraulic or pneumatic systems Experience performing engineering calculations for flow, leakage, response, and performance requirements Experience selecting materials, processes, and coatings for product performance and durability Experience verifying CAD drawings for accuracy Experience with dimensional and geometric tolerance stack analysis Experience developing or supporting DFMEA documentation Experience with DFM and DFA techniques Experience analyzing test data against functional and performance specifications Preferred Skills Experience with eVX product design Experience working with CAD designers to create engineering drawings Experience supporting DVP&R development and execution Experience planning and executing Design of Experiments Experience performing root cause analysis using data and part analysis Experience validating mechanical, electrical, magnetic, hydraulic, and pneumatic design models Experience supporting design reviews for fluid control, hydraulic, pneumatic, or valve products Job Responsibilities Design and develop fluid control valves used in electro-hydraulic and pneumatic systems Develop valve designs that meet customer requirements Perform calculations to verify flow, leakage, response, and related valve requirements Select materials, processes, coatings, and related design inputs to meet performance, lifetime, and durability requirements Work with CAD designers to create engineering drawings Verify drawing accuracy for design intent, dimensions, and tolerances Work with application engineers and test engineers on DVP&R development and execution Perform data analysis and part analysis Report test results accurately Participate in design reviews Prepare and review tolerance stacks for dimensional and geometric tolerances Verify product designs meet intended functions defined by customer specifications Model and validate mechanical, electrical, magnetic, hydraulic, and pneumatic design requirements Develop and maintain DFMEA documentation early in the development process Participate in DFMEA activities Apply DFM and DFA techniques early in the development process Plan and execute Design of Experiments as needed to support root cause analysis Analyze test data to determine whether designs meet functional and performance specifications Work with test engineers to align test development with customer specifications
