Mechanical Automation Systems Design Engineer Location:
Wixom, Michigan Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Design Engineer to join our team in Wixom, Michigan. This role will focus on the design and development of complete automation systems for automotive manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience using SolidWorks and have a proven track record designing full-scale automated production systems from concept through implementation. Key Responsibilities Design and develop complete automated manufacturing and assembly systems using SolidWorks. Create 3D models, detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and documentation for automated production equipment. Design automation cells, robotic workstations, material handling systems, and integrated manufacturing solutions. Collaborate with controls engineers, project managers, manufacturing teams, and customers to ensure successful project execution. Develop system layouts, tooling integration, machine interfaces and safety solutions for automated equipment. Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning activities as required.
