Senior Manufacturing Engineer (DISCREET) Posted on August 3, 2026 August 3, 2026 by JMJ Phillip We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes that enhance quality, efficiency, and productivity. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions, support new product introductions, and drive operational excellence. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a passion for process improvement. Position Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Development Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and product quality. Evaluate existing production methods and implement process improvements. Support the introduction of new products by developing scalable manufacturing solutions. Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, quality, and production requirements. Continuous Improvement Lead Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Analyze production data to identify opportunities for increased productivity and cost reduction. Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues. Drive process standardization and best practices across operations. Equipment & Tooling Support the selection, installation, and validation of manufacturing equipment and tooling. Collaborate with Maintenance and Operations to improve equipment reliability and performance. Develop preventive maintenance recommendations and process documentation. Evaluate automation opportunities to improve manufacturing capabilities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Production teams to achieve operational goals. Provide technical leadership during product launches and process changes. Support supplier and customer quality initiatives as needed. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance across manufacturing teams. Documentation & Compliance Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and process standards. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality systems, and applicable industry regulations. Monitor key manufacturing performance indicators and recommend improvements. Support internal and external audits when required. Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Extensive experience in manufacturing engineering within a production environment. Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with manufacturing equipment, automation, tooling, and production systems. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage multiple priorities.
