Monday-Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am Pay Rate $41.45
Contract State Date:
ASAP On-Site in Minnetonka, MN (Must be local) Position Summary We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate or an early-career professional looking to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you will apply engineering principles to solve complex manufacturing challenges, improve processes, optimize equipment performance, and support production operations. Success in this position requires strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a willingness to spend significant time on the manufacturing floor working alongside operators and cross-functional teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and execute manufacturing engineering projects involving multiple processes, systems, and equipment. Analyze manufacturing issues, identify root causes, and develop practical, effective solutions. Apply creative problem-solving techniques to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Evaluate the impact of engineering changes on related equipment, systems, and manufacturing processes. Support daily production by troubleshooting equipment and manufacturing process issues. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, technicians, and other engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges. Participate in technical design reviews, validation, verification, and implementation activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles, including: 5S A3 Problem Solving Standard Work Waste Reduction Process Optimization Efficiency Improvements Maintain a strong understanding of manufacturing operations while aligning engineering efforts with business objectives. Build strong working relationships with operators and production personnel through active listening and effective communication. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Software Engineering, or another related engineering discipline. 0-5 years of engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Solid engineering fundamentals. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Preferred Internship, co-op, or previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies. Exposure to manufacturing equipment, production processes, or automation.
