In this role, you'll design and implement efficient, cost-effective manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet the highest quality standards. You'll also play a key role in launching new or updated customer products, collaborating across teams to deliver innovative solutions. We are looking for a candidate located in the St. Paul/Minneapolis area. Our capabilities include punching, forming, laser cutting, welding, stamping, machining, turning, mechanical assembly, and laminated bus bar assemblies—delivered with speed, precision, and quality. We serve market-leading customers in the Medical Equipment, Industrial Controls, and Computer Server & Storage industries. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Refine engineering masters and manufacturing instructions. Participate in and help lead the development and implementation of the company's knowledge base and training program. Program and prepare setup files for Turrets, Lasers, combination machines, and forming equipment such as panel benders. Serve as a key contact for manufacturing support, problem-solving, and training personnel on best practices. Prepare and maintain detailed process layouts and related equipment documentation. Evaluate and approve drawings, routings/work orders, specifications, and other documents. Coordinate new and revised product launches, including goal setting, team training, and performance evaluation. Collaborate with management, engineering, production, sales, planning, and design teams to align capabilities, schedules, and tooling for efficient, high-quality production. Design, develop, test, and/or source tools, machinery, and equipment; cost-justify purchases and work with vendors to meet specifications and quality standards. Apply statistical methods and perform product/process analysis to reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance efficiency. Responsible for Project Management efforts for multiple concurrent small- to medium-sized projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to meet both business and customer expectations. Represent manufacturing/engineering on cross-functional teams. Perform other duties as required to meet business or customer needs
Qualifications Desired:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or 3-5 years equivalent experience. Minimum of one year (1+ years) experience in Project Management. Preferably in a manufacturing environment. Preferred experience or knowledge of Project Management including but not limited to principles and methodologies. Knowledge of ISO standards, Lean Manufacturing, and Theory of Constraints. Proficient in CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs, or similar). CNC programming experience for lasers, turrets, and forming equipment. Experience with machine tooling design and support. Strong project management and multitasking skills. Quality-focused with excellent attention to detail. Effective communicator with strong teamwork and collaboration skills. Skilled in problem analysis and resolution. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Solid understanding of mechanical principles, machining practices, and metal properties. Committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
