Job Title:
Manufacturing Engineer Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer will provide production manufacturing support, ensuring efficient and effective operations within a manufacturing environment. Working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, the selected candidate will begin as soon as pre-employment screenings are cleared. Responsibilities Serve as a front-line engineering resource supporting daily production operations. Work closely with machine operators, technicians, and supervisors to troubleshoot equipment and process issues. Apply structured engineering problem-solving methodologies to ensure safe, stable, and efficient production. Lead and manage projects focused on the design, development, validation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and equipment. Support operations team by applying problem-solving tools such as root cause analysis and data analysis. Coordinate the design, procurement, build, installation, and debugging of tooling, fixtures, machinery, and test equipment. Collaborate with Maintenance and external suppliers to ensure equipment reliability and readiness. Plan, execute, and document Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) activities. Develop validation protocols and reports in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements. Drive improvements in product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput through Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, technicians, and operators. Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Software, or Mechanical Engineering preferred). 2-5 years of experience in an engineering discipline or equivalent advanced education. Strong problem-solving skills and experience in supporting daily production operations. Experience working with multiple departments such as Quality, Operations, Maintenance, Equipment, and Machine Efficiency. Additional Skills & Qualifications Motivated and willing to engage actively in various tasks. Experience in leading engineering projects related to production equipment upgrades and process improvements. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Work Environment The role operates within a manufacturing environment, requiring collaboration with various departments and direct interaction with machine operators. The position requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and continuous improvement, emphasizing teamwork and cross-functional collaboration. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Paul, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
