Manufacturing Sales Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for determining material and labor requirements, preparing itemized lists per customer RFQs, computing cost factors, and preparing estimates for management purposes. This role involves extensive consultation with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Additionally, the Sales Engineer develops and implements cost control procedures, documents, and tools to support and enhance project budget management.

• Determine material and labor requirements and prepare detailed itemized lists based on customer RFQs.
• Compute cost factors and prepare comprehensive estimates used for management purposes, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness.
• Consult with customers, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates, address concerns, and resolve issues effectively.
• Ensure strict adherence to all relevant ISO and AS procedures specific to the job function.
• Utilize technical knowledge of product offerings to provide pricing estimates and implementation guidance to sales teams based on customer requirements.
• Analyze customers' technical specifications, recommend optimal product configurations and installation processes, and estimate implementation effort, time, and resources.
• Review of sales proposals for accuracy, completeness, and quality to ensure they meet customer expectations and company standards.
• Develop and implement cost control procedures, documents, and tools to support and enhance project budget management.
• Collect and coordinate procurement and other cost information used to develop cost forecasting, cost control strategies, and project risk analysis.
• Perform data analysis to identify project trends.
• Possess extensive technical knowledge of processes and materials specific to the type of project and be experienced with the cost-estimating methods best suited to the nature of the project.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering or a related field. (preferred)
• 2 - 4 years of experience in estimating, preferably within metal fabrication/ manufacturing environment.
• JobBOSS(eci) software experience preferred.

Annual Salary Rate:

$70K to $90K (Depending on experience)

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
