As an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer , you will be involved in all aspects of advanced process development, documentation, and fixture design.
What You'll Do:
Provide product manufacturability feedback to R D Engineers for assigned New Product Development (NPD) projects. Design fixtures needed to support welding, machining, and assembly processes for manufacturing sites. Lead capital equipment projects and capacity resource planning associated with assigned projects. Collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers at all manufacturing sites. Investigating new technologies for manufacturing process needs. Oversee tooling and equipment builds, qualifications, and implementations. Lead cross functional teams in DFMA activities for assigned projects. Develop a facilities plan, including processing equipment, cell layout, material flow, and infrastructure needs. Creation of process documents including fabrication and assembly work instructions. Manufacturing technical resource for R D Engineering team. Additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering. 3+ years of professional experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment. Strong leadership skills working in a collaborative environment. Proven project management skills and experience. Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization Experience performing DFMA events & assisting in
NPD / NPI
projects. Possess technical knowledge of metalworking processes including laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding, and power coat finishing. Experience with 3D CAD software in fixture design environment, Creo preferred; 2D AutoCAD preferred. Proficient in GD&T and best drafting practices. Powered and manual work holding design experience. 15-20% travel required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Capital equipment procurement experience. Manufacturing Execution System experience. Lean Manufacturing training. Green belt or Yellow belt certification.
