Job Summary We are seeking Manufacturing Process Improvement Engineer to identify, develop, and implement improvements throughout our production operations. This role combines hands-on manufacturing problem solving with CAD/CAM design responsibilities to increase productivity, improve product quality, reduce costs, and support new product development. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, highly organized, and capable of transforming ideas into practical manufacturing solutions. This individual will work closely with production, management, and product development teams to evaluate current processes, design improvements, create CNC-ready files, and help implement new equipment, tooling, and workflows. Duties Process Improvement Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and throughput. Design and implement process improvements that reduce labor, material waste, setup time, and production costs. Develop standard operating procedures and work instructions. Lead continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility. Evaluate production bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions. Track and report performance improvements using measurable data. Manage Product Development Team CNC Programming & Design Create and modify CAD drawings and CNC toolpaths for routers and related equipment. Develop production-ready files for CNC machining of molds, fixtures, tooling, and products. Optimize toolpaths to improve machining efficiency and reduce cycle times. Design jigs, fixtures, templates, and manufacturing aids that improve production consistency. Support prototyping and product development efforts. Required Qualifications Experience with CAD/CAM software such as VCarve, Aspire, Fusion 360, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.( We use VCarve) Ability to create CNC-ready files and toolpaths. Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing problem-solving skills. Ability to read technical drawings and specifications. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis. Strong communication and project management skills. Preferred Experience in CNC routing, woodworking, foam machining, plastics, composites, or related manufacturing environments. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience designing fixtures, molds, tooling, or production equipment. Understanding of production workflow and manufacturing economics.
