Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer $75-85/HR Jackson, Missouri Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Manufacturing Process Engineer to support and improve plant manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for evaluating existing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining mechanical equipment performance, and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and safety. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to identify operational challenges and develop effective solutions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, quality, efficiency, and cost reduction. Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain the performance and reliability of mechanical equipment used throughout the manufacturing process. Analyze production issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve operational performance. Perform cost-benefit analyses for new manufacturing methods, equipment, and process improvements. Develop detailed layouts for equipment placement, workflow optimization, and manufacturing processes. Research, design, and develop new manufacturing processes, equipment, and products to support operational goals. Develop and implement quality control procedures and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate documentation of engineering research, maintenance activities, process changes, and project reports. Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment. Experience with troubleshooting mechanical equipment and production systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and quality systems preferred. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and layouts. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering/design software preferred. #INDETM
