Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will focus on design and fabrication of stainless-steel bio-pharmaceutical containers for use in the life sciences industry. This person will work closely with the engineering group to design next-generation equipment for our evolving customer base. This role requires a solid understanding of CAD modeling software for sheet metal fabrication. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful infrastructure developments while honing your technical skills in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed design schematics and technical drawings using CAD software such as Solid Works, and AutoCAD is a plus. Manage drawing changes with respect to customer changes, engineering change orders with attention to detail and design for manufacturing. Collaborate with project managers and clients to develop project schedules, manage timelines, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards. Assist in construction management activities including construction inspection, site visits, and ensuring adherence to design specifications during the permitting phase. Support engineering assessments, design stainless-steel pressurized tanks, under ASME code regulations. Proven experience engineering projects from conception through construction with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Experience with project scheduling software and construction estimating techniques to effectively plan project phases. Excell in excellent communication skills, and team collaboration across multiple departments. Qualifications Engineering degree or equivalent. Basic understanding of sheet metal fabrication equipment and processes, e.g., press breaks, laser cutter, rollers, weld operations, CNC machining. Works well in a team environment. Can prioritize projects and manage workload. Experience with SolidWorks, and 3D CAD is a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office.
