In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing systems to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in implementing cutting-edge automation solutions, process improvements, and engineering best practices across our production facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead cross-functional projects, troubleshoot complex manufacturing challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that elevate our manufacturing capabilities. Responsibilities Develop and refine manufacturing processes utilizing CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed schematics and tooling designs. Lead project scheduling efforts to ensure timely execution of process improvements, automation upgrades, and new product launches. Perform root cause analysis on production issues to identify underlying problems and implement effective corrective actions. Program and maintain industrial automation equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including design, quality assurance, production, and maintenance—to optimize manufacturing workflows and implement lean manufacturing principles. Conduct engineering troubleshooting for complex equipment failures involving welding systems, CNC programming, CAM programming, and industrial automation tools. Drive process improvement initiatives utilizing Six Sigma methodologies to enhance quality, reduce waste, and increase throughput across production lines. Qualifications Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a strong background in manufacturing facility operations. Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, and schematic creation for mechanical and electrical systems. Hands-on experience with robotics programming, industrial automation systems (including PLCs), CNC machining, CAM programming, and vision inspection systems. Strong knowledge of plastics injection molding processes, tooling design, fabrication techniques, and assembly line operations. Expertise in project management including project scheduling, planning, resource allocation, and team leadership. Familiarity with quality improvement programs such as Six Sigma and Lean management principles to foster continuous improvement. Ability to analyze engineering data effectively using tools like GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precise component specifications. Mechanical knowledge covering fabrication techniques, tooling design, welding procedures, CNC programming, and industrial equipment maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and engineering troubleshooting. Effective cross-functional collaboration skills to coordinate efforts across multiple departments ensuring seamless project execution.
