Job Description

Job Title:
Lean Manufacturing Optimization Engineer Job Description Lead industrialization and change-management efforts that strengthen product quality, process reliability, and operational efficiency across the facility. Ensure new and existing products are introduced and modified effectively by reviewing proposed changes, validating technical requirements, and implementing best-in-class manufacturing practices. Drive measurable improvement by identifying opportunities through quality and productivity metrics, applying Lean and Six Sigma tools, leading kaizen events, and executing cost-reduction and process-optimization initiatives. Evaluate new equipment and technologies for potential application, support engineering analysis to resolve complex manufacturing, installation, and service challenges, and provide technical product and process expertise across the facility. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineering, supplier development, operations, field experts, and product and process management, along with coordinating third-party contractors when needed. Responsibilities Lead kaizen events, apply Lean/Six Sigma tools, drive waste reduction, improve flow, and execute cost-reduction and process-optimization initiatives using quality and productivity metrics. Lead industrialization efforts, validate product changes, support new product implementation, and manage change-management activities across the facility. Analyze and resolve complex manufacturing, installation, and service issues; support engineering analysis; and provide technical product and process expertise. Assess new equipment and process technologies for potential application in products and manufacturing operations. Partner with engineering, supplier development, operations, field teams, and product/process management, and coordinate third-party contractors for change-related or improvement activities. Essential Skills Manufacturing engineering Process optimization Process improvement Technical engineering 5 years of engineering fundamentals (mechanical and electrical; print reading) 5 years of supply chain and industrialization knowhow and experience 5 years of analytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills) 5 years of strong communication and interpersonal skills 1 year of SAP knowledge of material management, including design and implementation Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Systems / Engineering Work Environment Located in Clinton, North Carolina. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Clinton, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
