Job Description

Controls Engineer II Location:
High Point, NC (Onsite, with 25% Travel)
Compensation Range:
$85,000 - $105,000 + Bonus + Relocation Assistance We're working with a growing manufacturing organization that's investing heavily in automation across multiple production facilities and is looking to add a Controls Engineer II to its engineering team. This position reports directly to the VP of Engineering and will play a key role in supporting existing manufacturing operations while helping drive new automation initiatives across the business. What You'll Be Doing Programming, troubleshooting, and supporting Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLC systems Developing and maintaining HMI and SCADA applications, primarily within Ignition and FactoryTalk environments Supporting equipment commissioning, startup, and integration projects Troubleshooting production issues and driving root cause analysis efforts Working closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to improve equipment performance and reliability Supporting plant modernization initiatives and introducing new automation technologies Developing dashboards, reporting, and visibility into manufacturing performance metrics Managing automation projects from concept through implementation What They're Looking For 3-6 years of controls engineering experience within a manufacturing environment Hands-on PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens platforms Experience with Ignition and/or FactoryTalk Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field Why Consider It?
