This position drives manufacturing efficiency, enhances product quality, ensures engineering accuracy, and collaborates across global teams to maintain alignment with proprietary technical standards. The role requires strong analytical skills, hands‑on manufacturing experience, and the ability to lead continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Improve production processes by developing tooling, refining workflows, reducing risks, and using value‑stream mapping to boost efficiency. Lead monthly quality reviews to analyze field data, identify issues, and drive corrective actions. Audit production procedures and recommend best practices based on quality trends and customer feedback. Support product design by overseeing 3D modeling and ensuring designs meet proprietary specifications. Track and improve quality metrics for OE operations and lead internal improvement initiatives. Provide supplier feedback weekly to help domestic suppliers improve quality. Collaborate with global engineering teams, including Italy, to ensure products meet technical standards. Maintain accurate BOMs and update them to reflect engineering changes and production needs. Recommend material substitutions that reduce inventory and costs while maintaining quality. Troubleshoot production issues and support assembly teams with updated technical checklists. Ensure regulatory compliance including EPA Section 608 refrigerant‑handling requirements. Update BOMs to reflect new materials, engineering changes, and process improvements. Evaluate alternative materials to improve cost, performance, and supply‑chain resilience. Work cross‑functionally with production, engineering, and procurement to implement material changes and document updates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Refrigeration Engineering, or a related field. Hands-on experience supporting or leading assembly production lines in a manufacturing environment. Strong experience with BOM management, and optimization in a manufacturing with SAP system context. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for mechanical design and modeling. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across engineering, production, and supply chain teams. Familiarity with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus. Implemented in the past material substitutions to optimize inventory and processes. Preferred Qualifications EPA Section 608 Refrigerant Certification for handling refrigerants is highly desirable. Minimum 2-3 years' experience in refrigeration, HVAC, or related manufacturing environments, preferably in assembly line settings. Experience with TeamCenter - product lifecycle management (PLM) software from Siemens Experience with risk mitigation, quality gate-keepers and process optimization in assembly line production settings. Knowledge of systems, components, and relevant regulatory standards (including EPA Section 608 certification preferred).
