Job Description

McIntyre Manufacturing Group is a privately held, North Carolina based company offering Displays, In-Store Solutions as well as OEM Components to various Brand companies, Corporate America and Retailers, internationally. The Design Engineer would be responsible for the design and development of custom products not limited to, In-Store and Point of Purchase (POP) Displays and fixtures, Wood, Metal, Corrugated and Plastic Components as OEM Components. We are seeking a well-round, creative, passionate and talented 3D industrial designer with exceptional knowledge in materials and manufacturing process used in fabrication of these products. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience in product design and working on multiple projects at once. Ultimately, a successful Industrial Design Engineer will collaborate, and work alongside a small team of other Industrial Design Engineers.
Responsibilities:
Put to use various technical software tools including: SOLIDWORKS and Microsoft Office Develop 3D Digital Models, renderings and detailed fabrication drawings Comfortable working in fast-paced environment Manage multiple projects from concept to production. Engineering of components, materials specified drawings and Bill of Materials for shop and customer use Work with other designers and managers to find solutions for Customer needs
Requirements/ Qualifications:
Proficient in SOLIDWORKS, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or other engineering software is a plus Excellent mechanical abilities and knowledge of metal fabrication and other materials processes and techniques Familiar designing products with cost and clients in mind Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Detail oriented with ability to work with office and shop personnel

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
