Job Description

Manufacturing Project Engineer Location:
Onsite Manufacturing Environment Travel:
Up to 10%
Domestic & International Schedule:
Full-Time | Weekend & Shutdown Support as Needed (1494240) What you'll be doing Work within a collaborative team environment supporting Engineers, Construction Management, Technicians, Vendors, and General Contractors to achieve project milestones Perform machine trials and equipment confirmation activities prior to production startup to ensure operational readiness Support daily production operations to maintain uptime, operational availability, yield, and line performance Troubleshoot equipment issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime Document breakdowns, abnormal conditions, root causes, and countermeasures Lead and support structured problem-solving activities focused on long-term reliability improvements Partner with production, maintenance, and support teams to resolve technical issues and improve operational performance Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to other team members Drive continuous improvement activities tied to KPIs, production targets, safety, and quality goals Support equipment installation, modification, debugging, launch, and stabilization activities Optimize automated manufacturing equipment and processes to improve efficiency and reliability What you bring Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field OR 5+ years of equivalent hands-on manufacturing experience Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, automated production equipment, and line operations Experience troubleshooting equipment failures and identifying root causes Ability to perform machine trials and support stable equipment startup activities Experience documenting breakdowns, abnormalities, and corrective actions Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and production teams Continuous improvement mindset focused on safety, uptime, quality, and KPI achievement Strong communication and coordination skills Self-driven attitude with strong ownership and accountability Flexibility to support multiple production lines and technical priorities Added Bonus Experience Battery manufacturing or battery production line experience Experience supporting launch activities for new manufacturing lines Clean room or cleanliness protocol experience Experience supporting production trials and equipment confirmation activities Hands-on experience with: PLC programming and troubleshooting Robotics and automation systems HMI systems Motion control systems Vision inspection systems including X-ray Automated manufacturing equipment optimization
