Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for manufacturing process improvement, automation support, tooling design, and continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering 1-6 years of manufacturing engineering experience Education or experience in a manufacturing-related field Experience with project management in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of heavy equipment manufacturing Knowledge of automation Knowledge of robotics Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Knowledge of cost reduction methods Knowledge of 5S Knowledge of Lean manufacturing Knowledge of Six Sigma Knowledge of Kaizen planning Experience with tooling, fixture, jig, or process layout design Preferred Skills Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering SolidWorks knowledge Experience designing tooling Experience designing fixtures Experience designing jigs Experience designing process layouts Experience supporting both design engineering and manufacturing engineering functions Responsibilities Lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Kaizen events Implement process improvements across value streams Support manufacturing goals related to safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity Evaluate systems and procedures for process improvements Identify cost reduction opportunities Identify automation opportunities using robotics and related technologies Design tooling, fixtures, jigs, and process layouts in SolidWorks Support manufacturing engineering activities with design engineering overlap Apply project management methods to manufacturing engineering projects
