Manufacturing Engineer - TAB Performance

This role emphasizes precision mechanical design of custom tooling, fixtures, equipment, and machine components, supporting new product development, current production operations, and automation initiatives.

Product Development, Automation Engineering, Machine Shop, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Operations. Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Process Development

• Develop, evaluate, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Establish production methods, workflows, and process requirements to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
• Identify and resolve manufacturing challenges through engineering analysis and practical problem-solving. Tooling & Equipment Design & Integration
• Precision mechanical design of components, assemblies, tooling, and fixtures.
• Create CAD models, detailed drawings, Bill of materials for engineering projects.
• Evaluate existing equipment and identify opportunities for improved capability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with Automation Engineering on integrated equipment and automation solutions.
• Support equipment installation, commissioning, and process validation. Production Support & Continuous Improvement
• Provide engineering support for manufacturing challenges involving process capability, tooling, equipment, and quality.
• Lead technical problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Develop and implement improvements that reduce cycle times, scrap, labor requirements, and production costs.
• Support production teams in maintaining improving processes. Technical Responsibilities & Authority
• Owns the engineering development of manufacturing processes, tooling, fixtures, and custom equipment within assigned projects.
• Establishes and recommends manufacturing methods, tooling designs, and process improvements.
• Collaborates with appropriate teams to execute engineering projects.
• Provides technical recommendations regarding equipment, tooling, and manufacturing investments.
• Coordinates with Engineering Leadership to establish priorities and project direction. Qualifications

Education:

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience:

3+ years of manufacturing engineering, mechanical design, tooling, or process development experience.

Technical Skills:

3D CAD, eng. drawings, tooling design, and manufacturing process development.

Manufacturing Knowledge:

CNC machining, fabrication, fixturing, and production equipment.

Problem Solving:

Strong analytical and practical engineering abilities with a hands-on approach.

Collaboration:

Ability to work effectively with machinists, technicians, engineers, and production personnel.

Initiative:

Self-directed, detail-oriented, and capable of taking engineering projects from concept through implementation.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
