Job Description

Position Summary The Design Engineer is responsible for developing engineering designs that meet customer requirements while serving as the primary customer contact throughout the design, review, manufacturing, and installation process. This role ensures timely, accurate, and professional delivery of engineering solutions through close collaboration with customers, sales, manufacturing, and other internal stakeholders. The Design Engineer maintains continuous communication to confirm design expectations, coordinate project milestones, address technical questions, and support the product throughout its installed life cycle. Job Specifications Perform engineering design activities in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. Review and interpret design criteria to develop solutions that meet customer requirements. Manage customer-facing projects through all phases, including initial consultation, design development, review, manufacturing support, and installation. Respond to and resolve technical questions from customers and internal stakeholders. Communicate project status, design progress, and review materials throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate design reviews and facilitate feedback from customers and internal teams. Partner with the Sales team to support the development of design, marketing, and manufacturing documentation. Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing engineering efficiency, reducing design errors, and improving overall throughput. Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, seminars, webinars, and customer events as needed. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Civil or Structural Engineering, from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification with the desire to obtain a PE license. 0-3 years of engineering experience preferred. Strong engineering and technical problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Ability to learn and effectively utilize engineering and business software, including PLS Pole, AutoCAD, Inventor 3D, Adobe products, Sage, and EZCM. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong active listening, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Exceptional attention to detail, organization, accountability, and ownership of responsibilities. Ability to successfully collaborate across multiple departments in a project-driven environment. Strong customer service and project management orientation. Ability to travel approximately 10% for trade shows, seminars, customer meetings, and industry events. #ZelleG?????? ?????
