Manchester, NH Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week (Onsite)Position Type:
Temporary Pay:
$48.00-$58.00 per hour, depending on experience Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join their team on a temporary basis. This position will support engineering projects by designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical products and manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical design, experience with SolidWorks, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Design, develop, and test mechanical components, systems, and products using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
- Evaluate alternate designs and manufacturing methods to improve product performance, reliability, and cost.
- Conduct engineering research, testing, and feasibility studies for new and existing products.
- Analyze equipment and system performance and recommend design modifications to improve functionality.
- Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, and production teams to implement design improvements and resolve technical issues.
- Develop engineering documentation, including specifications, performance requirements, and testing procedures.
- Support production by coordinating manufacturing methods, fabrication processes, and product implementation.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with product installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Ensure all designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and customer specifications.
- Provide technical support throughout the product development lifecycle. Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 5-10 years of design engineering experience required.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks is required.
- Experience with additional CAD software is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
