Nashua, NH Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom/Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. Our global headquarters are located in Nashua, NH and we have design, sales and manufacturing locations globally. We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to join our Hi-Speed Cable team. The position will be located onsite in our Nashua, New Hampshire office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead NPI project management activities for new High-Speed I/O cable assembly from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with company goals and timelines. Lead cross-functional NPI teams (Design, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain) to drive milestones from concept through mass production, ensuring successful product deployment across global manufacturing sites. Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress and driving accountability across stakeholders. Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and communicate status to stakeholders and leadership. Lead cross-functional NPI teams (including Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain) to drive product deployment from initial concept through global transitions to new and existing manufacturing sites. Collaborate directly with global manufacturing sites to support production and process implementation. Manage internal and external suppliers for on time completion of actions Facilitate the validation and smooth transition of new products across global manufacturing sites (USA, China, Mexico, Vietnam). Manage and coordinate engineering build events, facilitate technical reviews, and track critical program milestones. Oversee project risk management, including participating in
DFMEA/PFMEA
reviews, identifying potential project risks, and driving mitigation actions. Manage & reduce risks including the development of alternatives using risk reduction tools in order to maintain project objectives and schedules. Ability to travel domestically and internationally 10-15%
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent 2-5 years of experience in an Engineering or in a Project Management role a manufacturing environment in an engineering role Working knowledge of solid modeling tools (Creo, SolidWorks, etc.) to effectively communicate with design teams Strong knowledge of MS Suite of products (Word, Excel, etc.) Familiarity with project management methodologies, cross-functional leadership, and root-cause analysis Experience with PCBA SMT and/or soldering preferred Experience in the design and assembly of telecommunication cable assemblies preferred
