Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer responsible for hands-on production support, automation, process improvement, root cause investigation, and manufacturing process optimization. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related engineering field 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production support Strong troubleshooting experience involving equipment, tooling, automation, materials, and processes Experience leading root cause investigations and implementing corrective and preventive actions Experience with automation systems including PLCs, robotics, and automated assembly or test equipment Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, controls, and continuous improvement Experience analyzing production data, identifying trends, and anticipating operational risks Experience developing manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and tooling Experience supporting process validation and manufacturing documentation Experience working with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering Experience supporting quality investigations, CAPA, and audit activities Experience working within quality systems and regulatory requirements Preferred Skills Experience in high-mix manufacturing environments Experience in regulated manufacturing environments Lean certification Six Sigma certification Project management experience Automation implementation experience Experience supporting New Product Introduction through DFM and DFA reviews Experience with equipment validation, setup, and optimization Job Responsibilities Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing and service teams Troubleshoot issues involving equipment, tooling, automation, materials, and processes Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions Analyze production data to identify trends, recurring issues, and operational risks Develop permanent, scalable solutions that stabilize and improve production Track key manufacturing metrics including downtime, scrap, yield, and rework Build control plans, standard work, and monitoring systems to prevent repeat issues Maintain documentation of issues, corrective actions, and lessons learned Program, modify, and support automation systems including PLCs, robotics, and automated assembly or test equipment Support equipment setup, optimization, troubleshooting, and validation Work with Maintenance and vendors to improve automation reliability Identify automation opportunities that improve safety, throughput, and cost Develop and execute continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and tooling Ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and capable of meeting quality and production targets Support New Product Introduction through DFM, DFA, and process validation activities Keep manufacturing documentation accurate and current Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering teams Support quality investigations, CAPA, and audit activities Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems and regulatory requirements
