Job Description

Category Schools - Counselor Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by supporting students as a part-time school counselor serving a small caseload. This contract position offers the chance to work closely with three students, providing valuable guidance and fostering their personal and academic growth. With a flexible, very part-time schedule, this opportunity is ideal for experienced counseling professionals looking for rewarding work that fits their lifestyle.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state certification or appropriate licensure as a school counselor Recent experience working in a school or youth-focused counseling setting Understanding of individual and group counseling techniques appropriate for K-12 students Strong communication and organizational skills Compassionate, approachable, and able to build trust with students and staff Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical counseling practices
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver counseling services to three students, addressing their academic, behavioral, and social/emotional needs Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop and implement individualized strategies Track student progress and maintain accurate records of sessions and plans Offer support for students transitioning between academic years Remain available for student and family consultation as needed within the contracted hours Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
