Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities Design and optimize manufacturing processes for testing electro-optical components and assemblies. Perform testing of production parts using lasers as required. Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure products meet specifications and standards. Assemble and test opto-mechanical and electro-optic prototypes. Develop and maintain detailed documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), drawings, and procedures. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and product quality. Provide technical support to production and NPI teams as needed. Manage production schedules and ensure on-time daily shipments when required. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of experience, or a master's degree or higher. Skills Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly with optical systems and components. Experience working in a cleanroom environment. Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and strong knowledge of manufacturing processes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with lasers, optical components, and related test equipment. Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
