Job Description
Description Permanent position for a Manufacturing Process Engineer supporting high-volume manufacturing of precision optical components and assemblies. Move new products out of development and into repeatable production at scale. Characterize existing fabrication and metrology methods, then redesign them for capability and throughput. Drive yield improvement through data analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action. Diagnose equipment and process failures on the floor and implement permanent fixes. Reduce unit cost through scrap reduction, cycle time gains, and process simplification. Author and maintain work instructions, process specifications, and qualification records. Coordinate with R&D, production, and quality engineering on production release readiness. Requirements BS Engineering. Minimum 3 years in a manufacturing or process engineering role. Minimum 3 years applying statistical data analysis to production yield and process performance. Experience characterizing and improving fabrication processes in a high-precision manufacturing environment. Experience troubleshooting production equipment and metrology/test stations. 3D CAD (SolidWorks or equivalent) for tooling and fixture design a plus. Lean Six Sigma training a plus. Automation scripting in Python, LabVIEW, or similar a plus. #ERGx
