What to Expect A Manufacturing Machining Engineer in the Production Engineering team will be a part of operating, sustaining, and improving some of the most automated manufacturing equipment in the world. The best candidate for the position specializes in machining operations and can lead, develop, optimize and implement advanced manufacturing processes. What You'll Do
Sustain 24 by 7 production operations through responding to and resolving breakdowns quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime, working with the support of Maintenance team
Active leader of a cross functional teams while taking on improvement projects to assist in improving the factory.
Diagnoses equipment failures. finds root cause and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Lead equipment upgrades with a focus on serviceability, reliability, and process capability Provide hands-on support to Engineering and Maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve extended downtime situationsfor the CNC lines What You'll Bring Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, with focus on machining processes of Turning Strong knowledge of machining parameters, tooling selection and fixture design Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (SolidWorks, Mastercam or similar) Knowledge of GD&T, inspection methods and metrology equipment Plan and execute preventative and corrective maintenance in CNC Equipment Experience with DMG Mori (NZX-S2500-ST), Mitsubishi and Fanuc controllers for servocontrol equipment is a plus Aptitude to learn new skillsets Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program
