This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and enjoys leading complex technical projects from concept through implementation. The successful employee in this role will serve as a subject matter expert in automation, robotics, and process optimization while driving innovation and supporting high-quality production outcomes.
Full Time, Onsite, Direct Hire Pay:
Up to $95k depending on experience Key Responsibilities Serve as an SME for multiple equipment platforms, leading troubleshooting, optimization, and new equipment onboarding. Lead automation and robotics initiatives, including scoping, integration, and technical adjustments to maximize performance. Utilize advanced data analysis to identify trends, optimize processes, and improve product quality and profitability. Design, document, and refine complex manufacturing processes with a focus on efficiency and repeatability. Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions for high-impact technical issues. Drive continuous improvement projects aligned with Tapecon's quality, cost, and performance goals. Champion innovation and support digital transformation initiatives across engineering and production teams. Manage customer-driven development projects, ensuring requirements are met and expectations exceeded. Independently manage complex engineering projects, ensuring milestones, documentation, and deliverables are completed on time. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred. 2-5 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. Hands-on experience with industrial automation, robotics, PLCs, vision systems, or low-cost automation (Yaskawa experience preferred). Strong knowledge of quality systems, ISO/FDA requirements, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma). Excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
