Job Description

USPRO is looking for Manufacturing Engineers to join an aerospace and defense electronics manufacturer in Endicott, NY. We're filling 8 seats on a 12-month contract that starts November 2, 2026. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, fully onsite. The Work This team is moving its manufacturing documentation into a new instruction system, and you'll be a big part of that. You'll write new work instructions and procedures, convert existing ones into the new format, and look for ways to make the build process leaner along the way. The instructions you write will cover hands-on electronics work like assembly and teardown, soldering, swapping components, and applying coatings. Good instructions here mean thinking through the order of steps, the cost of doing it one way versus another, and what makes the job easier and safer for the operator. You'll also document procedures for building the tools and fixtures used on the floor. You'll work closely with build and design teams, sharing feedback that improves how products get made. Safety, audit readiness, and quality are part of every day. You'll Fit Well If You Have At least 4 years of work experience, plus an Associate's degree or four years of equivalent experience. Strong writing skills matter a lot in this role, along with solid communication in general. You should be comfortable in Word and Excel, detail-focused, and able to work on your own while keeping pace with a busy team. Bonus Points Technical writing or research experience, especially writing work instructions. A background in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering. Any hands-on time with an MES (Manufacturing Execution System). Good to Know This role requires US Citizenship. Interviews are held onsite in Endicott. USPRO is an equal opportunity employer and will consider all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, veteran status, disability, and/or other protected categories. We are also committed to providing reasonable accommodation(s) to qualified individuals with disabilities or needs, as required by law.
