Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000 (based on experience)
POSITION SUMMARY
formalize proposal drawings created by Application Engineering and create drawings showing bearing race ring details.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare proposal drawings as required by Application Engineering and standardized workflow processes. Review technical documents. Produce detail drawings in accordance with the company's engineering standards. Create and maintain engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor. Create 3D models for Quality CMM inspections. Make necessary revisions and modifications in accordance with the latest standards, manufacturing requests and customer/sales requests. Process sales order entries for new and repeat design using SAP. Maintain drawings and revision levels in the Engineering Change Notice system. Perform drawing comparisons. Support continuous improvement activities. Confer with supervisor regarding departmental issues or technical reviews requiring special approval or guidance. Model professional behavior as established by corporate policy. Maintain a safe working environment by complying with all safety and environmental policies in the workplace. Other secondary responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or similar Engineering discipline from a four-year college or university and 4 years related experience and/or training in product design. Computer experience using CAD programs (such as Inventor and AutoCAD) and using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word & PowerPoint). SAP experience a plus. Excel VBA, Visual Studo (C#/.Net Framework) experience a plus. Database (SQL) experience a plus.
