Job Description:

SUMMARY Responsible for helping with daily activities in the Fab Lab and 3D printing labs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provides technical support for lab equipment. Monitors and assists visitors in lab. Works on projects for external and internal customers. Receives and stores supplies. Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/TRAINING

High school diploma or GED Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to work with student populations from a variety of ages and backgrounds. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and

ABILITIES

Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Works accurately with great attention to detail. Possess strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently. Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population. Ability to support facilitators or instructors in a classroom setting of children or adults.

Enrollment in an engineering, engineering technology, STEM, or creative arts program at an accredited college or university.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

The work area is adequately lit, heated, and ventilated. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items such as papers, files, pamphlets, books, etc. Work may also require walking and standing in conjunction with travel to and attendance at meetings and conferences away from the worksite. This is a Part-Time Non-Bargaining Unit Position, with the following

Set Rate of Pay:

$15.60/ hour.
