Job Summary:
Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods at a high level. Utilizes knowledge of product design, materials, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards. Responsible for designing and developing solutions to support engineering and production processes relating to machining, fabrication, and assembly fixtures and tooling. Work closely with other departments on related projects.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization and workflow.
- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
- Communicates manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, or other information to facilitate production.
- Communicates with customers in order to determine specifications of components and negotiate product design and process deliverables.
- Leads project requirements checklists through justification and/or rationalization of activities associated with product launches.
- Coordinate and lead launches of new processes including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
- Leads quoting process.
- Identifies excessive tooling costs, develop methods for cost reductions, and implements identified cost reductions.
- Leads engineering test protocol development and reporting for process characterization and process testing.
- Apply statistical methods and perform process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and improved efficiency.

Education:
4 year Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience:
7+ years in Manufacturing Engineering or related fieldKSA's:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to determine and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Analytical thinking skills.
- Strong problem solving, decision making, and process improvement skills.
- Proficient blue print reading and GD&T knowledge.
