Job Description

Primary Function :
The Engineering Intern will be utilized for LEAN manufacturing processes, updating facility drawings, technical writing of Ampacet processes and procedures, and selectively for capital improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Building and documenting LEAN manufacturing processes with local team Technical writing of work instructions and safety procedures Will use CAD/SolidWorks tools to create Plant Drawings, Facility Flow (how the utilities are laid out), Electrical Drawings, Sub-Assembly Drawings, Part Drawings, Production Layout Drawings Assisting Maintenance Manager with project management Communicating and confirming project deadlines Providing project progress reports Responsibility level will progress with experience
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have completed at least one year of college in Industrial Engineering or a related program Experience with
CAD 2D/3D
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Technical writing experience Project management experience Must be safety conscious, adaptable, and dependable Must be a self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision Demonstrates exceptional teamwork Possesses high levels of motivation and optimism with an action orientation Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills, organization skills, and problem solving skills Must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
3rd or 4th year college student pursuing Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering Part-Time, expected to last 6 - 12 months.
