Job Description
Role Purpose:
Plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes in industrial plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction within the manufacturing process. Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods and processes. Implement strategies to enhance safety, quality, and productivity to meet continuous improvement targets. Analyzes and plans work force utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment, fixtures, tooling, and workspace for maximum efficiency. Confers with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. Confers with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards. Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions. Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes. Write programs, product routings, design fixtures and tooling. Hands-on mentality with a proactive approach to problem-solving and project execution. Maintain accurate documentation of manufacturing processes, equipment specifications, and project status. Generate reports for management and project stakeholders. Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Identify and address potential manufacturing risks and provide solutions to mitigate them. Work safely every day and supporting efforts to maintain an injury free workplace Define and establish part inspection processes that are cost effective and meet all quality requirements. Change and improve processes to increase productivity and competitiveness. Meet cost and schedule commitments while maintaining the utmost standards for quality. Experience:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field required. Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic controls engineering, with hands-on experience in designing and troubleshooting electronic circuits and control systems. Proficiency in reading and interpreting wiring schematics. Solid understanding of network technology, including Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and IP protocols. Experience in software flashing/commissioning of microcontrollers, preferably in embedded systems. Strong system debugging skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex electrical and software issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration within teams and with stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a dynamic work environment. A willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
