Our client is seeking an experienced Tool Design Engineer to support the design and development of tooling, fixtures, gauges, and related manufacturing equipment used in a high-precision production environment. This role will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to develop tooling solutions that improve quality, efficiency, and repeatability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fixture design, 3D CAD modeling, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability. Responsibilities Design tooling, fixtures, gauges, jigs, and related manufacturing equipment Develop detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings Create and maintain bills of materials, technical documentation, and revision records Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to support production requirements Evaluate designs for manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and ease of implementation Support tooling improvements, redesigns, and continuous improvement initiatives Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations Support prototype, production, and tooling development projects Interpret blueprints, specifications, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred 5+ years of experience in tool design, fixture design, or manufacturing engineering Proficiency with 3D CAD software Experience creating detailed manufacturing drawings and assemblies Working knowledge of GD&T and blueprint interpretation Experience supporting manufacturing operations in a precision machining or industrial environment Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Preferred Experience Tool holding fixtures Precision machining environments Aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing Siemens NX or similar advanced CAD platforms Design for Manufacturability (DFM) BOM creation and engineering documentation Additional Information Stable manufacturing environment Direct impact on production and engineering operations Exposure to advanced manufacturing technologies Competitive compensation and benefits U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
