Job Description
Worthington Enterprises is hiring a Project Engineer in Worthington, OH. This is a full-time position. Position Summary Supports a broad range of moderately complex projects (design, implementation, etc.). Projects could range from new equipment, procurement and installation; machine safety improvements; maintenance projects; equipment enhancement; new products; sales support, training support, etc. Projects may be small stand-alone projects or portions of a larger project with the larger project being managed by others. Also troubleshoots current production equipment/processes for maximum quality throughput. Generates cost savings ideas throughout facility. Key Position Results Successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and with required functionality Effective monitoring and communication of project cost and schedule to stakeholders Accurate integration of new systems and equipment Proactive risk identification and mitigation throughout the project timeline
Key Responsibilities Project Management Define project scope and objectives Develop and manage project budgets and schedules Identify and manage project risks and issues Communicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholders
Stakeholder Communication Provide clear and consistent updates on project status and key metrics
Technical Support Troubleshoot and support production equipment and processes Provide technical assistance to Sales and other departments
Other Duties Perform additional responsibilities as assigned
Required Skills & Competencies Strong interpersonal and communication skills Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities Experience with product and process design techniques (APQP, Flow Charts, Control Plans, FMEA, PPAP, etc.) Intermediate knowledge of machine design and operating principles Intermediate knowledge of machine repair and troubleshooting practices Proficiency in CAD, PC systems, and PLCs Hands-on, independent contributor who thrives in team environments Ability to travel 25-50%
Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience preferred Minimum of 5 years of related engineering experience Project management training preferred (MS Project, Gantt charts, PM methodologies, etc.)
