Position Responsibilities:

Experienced (Level 3) Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs Analyzes results and performs design reviews Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests). Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities Develops basic statements of work Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design Works under general direction Senior (Level 4) Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs Analyzes results and performs design reviews Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests) Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection Works under minimal direction Consultant (Level 5) Provides guidance in the development of cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs Provides direction used by multiple teams to analyze complex results and performs design reviews Provides guidance in engineering design disposition on discrepancies Defines processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities Provides direction used by multiple teams to develop complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets Directs the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection Directs the development of functional and physical design requirements to ensure complete integrated design architecture Assesses and resolves product/process issues through the product lifecycle Leads research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions Directs cross-functional teams to analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for complex design non-conformances Leads investigations into complex multidiscipline system related events Uses innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations Analyzes reported problems for potential safety issues This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 3+ years of experience in wiring design or electrical engineering Ability to travel up to 10% of the time domestically Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with wire harness assembly design and manufacturing Experience with wire diagram or electrical schematic design software Familiarity with electrical system design principles, wire separation requirements, EME considerations, and relevant regulations for commercial and/or military agencies 2 or more years of experience working in cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and release electrical system and wire harness engineering Strong problem-solving skills and effective verbal and written communication Ability to quickly adapt to program tools and procedures
