Job Description

Overview Candidate will support the design and development of new pipeline-related products, improve existing product lines, strategic projects, and Engineering issues while adhering to TDW behaviors and company standards. Key Responsibilities Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Prepares sketches, layouts, 3D models, 2D drawings to support the design of new products, improvements to existing products, or unique products to special customer requirements while following company standards Works closely with the appropriate engineer(s) during the design stages to clarify and communicate ideas, intent and concepts Performs various engineering calculations with an appropriate level of oversight to ensure that designs meet code specifications and standard practices Designs and prepares necessary prototype or test models sketches/drawings and assists with outlining and performing tests Utilizes understanding of company products, their intended use, and design criteria during design process Provides technical assistance to Sales, Customer Services, Manufacturing, and/or subcontract sources by providing solutions within the cost, code, and specification scope of the project/product requirements Performs design engineering related functions for general or special projects as assigned by direct manager Experience High school graduate, with a certificate or associates degree in Design and Drafting Technology; ideally with 3 - 5 years of relevant industry experience Experience with 3D CAD software is required (SolidWorks, Siemens NX, Inventor, or CATIA) Manufacturing or Oil & Gas related experience is a plus Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced, industrial environment Has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process Experience with applicable drawing/design codes and standards Proactive, well organized, and detail oriented Strong written and verbal communication skills For more than 100 years, we've partnered in the oil and gas industry to deliver innovative solutions that maximize uptime, improve throughput, avoid shutdown and minimize risk.
