Job Description
Position Summary The Engineering department at Romtec is searching for an experienced building designer / AutoCAD Tech to join our Team. If you currently reside in the Roseburg area and are looking for a professional career in Architectural Drafting this position may be for you. The applicant must be driven by architectural design and drafting with the desire to expand their career in the ever-changing field of public buildings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: The ability to work in a team-oriented environment; Read architectural plans and understand the visual representation; Drafting complete plan sets using AutoCAD; Capacity to research, read, understand and implement code requirements to ensure approval from various building review agencies throughout the United States; Develop production drawings with an assortment parts to submit for in-house manufacturing as well as outside vendors; The personality to take constructive feedback from coworkers, contractors, vendors and customers; Must be coachable Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) It is critical that the AutoCAD Tech has:
- A minimum higher education of two years in Architecture, Structural Engineering or similar Engineering Fields.
- Experience working with AutoCAD Software.
- Work Experience in this field will be beneficial to the demands of this position.
Other Qualifications:
Knowledge of Microsoft software such as Excel, Outlook Preferred some experience with 3d modeling software such as Inventor Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. All potential employee who will be engaged in any physical activity will take an agility and hearing test, provided. These tests are intended to assist the supervisor in evaluating the demands of the position relative to the results of the test. Once a candidate is considered for the position Human Resources will work with the candidate to schedule an appointment for the agility and hearing testing. The test will be performed by a medical facility or an industrial physical testing provider. Romtec will cover the charges of these test that are required.- Romtec, Inc.
