$85,000 - $90,000 per year Job Details - Are you a dynamic, innovative engineer with a passion for optimizing processes and a knack for problem-solving? We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced Permanent Process Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment, directly impacting the efficiency and success of our operations. The successful candidate will be a key player in our continuous improvement initiatives, using their skills to enhance and streamline our manufacturing processes.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Process Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include: 1. Driving continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to our manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce waste. 2. Developing and maintaining process documentation (PDOC's) to ensure that all processes are clearly defined, optimized, and adhered to. 3. Programming PLCs to improve automation and control within the manufacturing process. 4. Using software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, RS Logix, and Panelbuilder to design, simulate, and implement new processes or improvements to existing ones. 5. Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions. 6. Conducting root cause analysis to troubleshoot process issues and develop corrective actions. 7. Leading process-related training and development sessions for manufacturing staff.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Process Engineer role should have the following qualifications: 1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering in a manufacturing environment. 3. Proven experience in continuous improvement and process improvement methodologies. 4. Proficiency in PLC programming, with a strong understanding of automation and control systems. 5. Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, RS Logix, and Panelbuilder. 6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail. 7. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex processes in a clear and understandable manner. 8. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. 9. A proactive, results-driven approach, with a strong desire to make a positive impact on the efficiency and success of our manufacturing operations.
