Responsibilities Design Assurance Engineer A minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in mechanical, electrical, software and quality design and development. Proven track record of successful delivery and subsequent value realization Technical, project management experience across multiple disciplines. Highly developed emotional intelligence and a leadership mindset to navigate project team challenges, establish trust, enhance collaboration, build relationships, drive engagement, ensure alignment, and influence without direct authority. Demonstrated experience in a compliance-driven industry Experience applying Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) principles Analytical, quality-driven mindset, able to identify, communicate and develop solutions to mitigate risk within the product development design cycle. Proficient in statistical and data analysis tools Demonstrated expertise with new product development processes, procedures Apply governance and procedural adherence in the design process Attend, participate and influence design review process at all stages of development Expertise in DFMEA and PFMEA facilitation, risk assessment and solution development for risk mitigation at the functional product level Strong customer focus, with ability to support driving tasks to completion to ensure on-time delivery while meeting or exceeding expectations. Strong time management and organization ability to prioritize tasks, manage individual backlog, and complete tasks on time. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including formal presentation skills and ability to tailor messaging to audience. Displays integrity and intellectual curiosity. Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with CI problem solving skills; 8d, A3, 5 why Qualifications This role is posted at two levels based on experience and education:Level:
Principal I Engineer Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline required, preferably from an ABET accredited program. Advanced technical degree or coursework expected. Continuing education expected.Experience Required:
7 years relevant experience. MS degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience. PhD may be substituted for up to 4 years of equivalent experience.Level:
Principal II Engineer:
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline required, preferably from an ABET accredited program. Advanced technical degree from an accredited college or university. Continuing education expected.Experience Required:
9 years relevant experience. MS degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience. PhD may be substituted for up to 4 years of equivalent experience.Experience preferred:
Experience with Point, Miro, Teams, Matlab, Minitab, Tableau, Power BI Experience in a regulatory and compliance driven industry. Safety products, medical device, ISO, FDA, NFPA Quality assurance background in a physical products landscape Experience in product development and product industrialization preferred Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Black belt #LI-GM1 MSA
