The Opportunity The Product & Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for building and scaling along the full lifecycle of standard robotic automation solutions. In this role, you will play a key part in improving productivity and quality at our facility, while also shaping the manufacturing strategy for next-generation robotics products. From production and manufacturing planning to process design and automation, you will work with cross-functional teams to create a more efficient, scalable, and high-quality production environment. Working at the intersection of mechanical, electrical and software systems, you will also collaborate to deliver high-performance robotics solutions that meet customer requirements, safety standards and manufacturability targets.
What Your Days Will Look Like:
Drive manufacturing equipment and process improvements to enhance productivity and quality across expanding production operations. Iterate on robotics components and assemblies. Proctor design reviews to ensure reliability and performance. Lead prototype builds and define test plans to validate mechanical, electrical, and software integration. Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for failures identified during testing. Lead new factory planning and process design for new product launches, including layout review and production workflow optimization. Ensure designs are optimized for production. Define BOMs, work instructions, and inspection criteria for new product introduction. Work with multi-disciplinary software, controls, and supply chain teams to translate customer and market requirements into engineering specifications and actionable design goals. Support stable production through standardized processes, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives. Identify and execute on opportunities to reduce cost, improve quality, and increase reliability across existing and new product lines through design and process changes. Collaborate cross-functionally to build a more efficient and scalable manufacturing environment. Other duties as assigned Job Requirements 5+ years of experience in product development and manufacturing engineering, including process design, installation/commissioning, and production stabilization Bachelor's degree in engineering Proven results in productivity improvement, quality enhancement, or cost reduction through process improvement Strong collaboration skills and a team-oriented mindset Experience with robots Exposure to electrical, mechanical and controls engineering CAD experience preferred
