What You'll Do:

Assist set up first runs of new parts and help train machinists. Revise existing programs to improve cycle, tool life and quality. Program & document laser marker jobs. Design and construct drill jigs & fixtures for manufacturing with engineering support as needed. Work with Design Engineers & Machinists to efficiently improve current machining fixtures. Make sure fixtures are in good repair and ensure they are producing quality parts. Work with Engineers to determine critical features of new parts before designing, testing, and refining machine fixtures. Consult with Assembly & Engineers to design safe, ergonomic, and time saving assembly fixtures and devices. Work to improve and update current assembly methods. Work with Engineers to establish efficient machining sequences. Suggest design changes to improve manufacturing times, help reduce costs, & improve quality. Value analyzes assemblies to simplify & help reduce costs. Make suggestions for more effective machines, fixtures, tooling, layout, and participate on improvement teams. Assist with managing new equipment projects including machine selection, plant layouts, tooling selection.

What You'll Bring:

High School Diploma or GED 5+ years of experience in CNC Set Up Machinist.
